Privacy Policy

We may collect information that you provide when you use OGKTMA services, including:

• Account and contact details, such as your name, email address, and phone number.
• Professional and educational information, such as member category, medical college, years of attendance, specialty, NPI, practice status, hospital or practice, city, state, biography, and directory preference.
• An optional profile photo.
• Membership, event registration, meeting attendance, donation, and contribution history associated with your account.
• Messages you send through our contact forms or to OGKTMA representatives.

Our servers may also receive basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, device or browser type, request timestamps, and error information. We do not use the OGKTMA app for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking.

• Create and secure your account and verify your email address.
• Provide memberships, events, registrations, contributions, and account history.
• Verify eligibility, including optional or required NPI verification where applicable.
• Show your profile in the member directory when you are eligible and choose visibility.
• Send service messages, receipts, registration updates, and OGKTMA communications.
• Prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability and accessibility.
• Meet financial, tax, legal, and nonprofit recordkeeping obligations.

Payment forms open with our payment provider, Zeffy. OGKTMA does not receive or store your complete payment-card number in the mobile app. We may receive transaction details such as payer identity, amount, payment status, campaign or event, and receipt information so we can maintain your OGKTMA account history. Zeffy processes payment information under its own privacy policy and terms.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only:

• With service providers that help operate authentication, hosting, storage, email, registration, payments, security, and app distribution, under appropriate agreements.
• With eligible, authenticated members through the member directory when your directory visibility is enabled.
• When required by law, or to protect OGKTMA, our members, or the public.
• As part of an organizational transition, subject to applicable legal protections.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections, and mobile sign-in sessions are stored in the device's protected credential storage. No system is completely secure. We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described here and for legal, financial, tax, dispute, and security requirements.

You can update profile information and change member-directory visibility in the app. You can delete your account in the mobile app by opening Settings, selecting My profile, and choosing Delete account. You may also contact us for assistance.

Account deletion removes your sign-in, profile, directory listing, and event registrations. OGKTMA may retain transaction records that are required for financial, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal obligations.

OGKTMA services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
